Reflecting on Life and Faith

Are you challenged to think that God has a purpose for you being where you are in your life right now?

We can learn so much from each other - that is the purpose of this new "Talk on the Way" blog.  A place to give us a chance to reflect and share thoughts about life and faith, where you are right now or where you have been.

Our voices reveal tone, emotion, passion and bring our words to life. That is why we are sharing these reflections in audio format trusting that you will catch the feelings being expressed by different women.

We want to include women from all walks of life - young, single, newly married, widows, mid-life, older, stay at home moms and those out working, some may be raising children on their own or have immigrated from a country far away but we are all very special, deeply loved by God and have a life full of moments that will bless and encourage others.

Our intention is to introduce a new woman on this page every week (or so).  Please contact me deborah@fbhinternational.com if you would grant us the privilege of having you participate.

Katelyn Ron Hughes wrote a compelling short story, "Mothers and Daughters" which is read here by his daughter Katelyn.  Seemed appropriate for this week.
Have a listen but here is a short excerpt, They were everything to each other, this mother and daughter....the girl watched her mother sleeping as her mother had once watched her. She looked beautiful as she lay there, eyes closed, her chest moving slowly with the rhythm of life.  After a few more years, things changed dramatically and suddenly. The girl decided that she didn't need her mother anymore.

Katelyn is in the Arts program at Guelph University.  She is an apiring artist as is seen in this self-portrait.

See more of her work and give her a like - www.facebook.com/pages/Katelyn-Hughes-Art

A mother's love for her child is like nothing else in the world. It knows no law, no pity, it dares all things and crushes
down remorselessly all that stands in its path.
